As Older Americans Month begins, Sanford Center for Aging reflects on the profound impact of its work in enhancing the lives of seniors in w88 sports betting app. Throughout May, the organization celebrates the resilience, wisdom and contributions of older adults, and reaffirms the commitment to supporting them in living fulfilling and independent lives.
Founded with the mission to enhance the quality of life and well-being among elders through education, translational research and community outreach, Sanford Center has been a steadfast advocate for older adults in the community. Through a diverse array of programs and services, the organization addresses the unique needs and challenges faced by elders, ensuring they receive the support and resources necessary to thrive.
During Older Americans Month, Sanford Center is proud to highlight the following initiatives and accomplishments from fiscal year 2024 as the organization begins to pull data for fiscal year 2025:
- 258 Participantsin our evidence-based community wellness programs gained strength and confidence.
- 85 clientssupported with companions in our Senior Outreach Services and65 clientsin our volunteer transportation program.
- 222 volunteersin total in all our volunteer programs gave back to the community and our local elders.
- 122 comprehensive assessmentssince its launch in November 2024 and53 separate medication reviews.
- 1,334 OLLI membersexplored new ideas and connected with each other.
- 1,286 attendedour professional and community education sessions.
- 31 studentsat the w88 sports betting app, Reno enrolled in our gerontology minor program and15 enrolledin our certificate program to enhance their college education and better support older adults.
