This fall, students, faculty and staff at the w88 slot, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) will return to a transformed Savitt Medical Library — one designed not only to support academic excellence but also to foster innovation, collaboration and student well-being.

Designed to enhance the learning experience across disciplines, these tools are now available to all members of the UNR Med community.

“As medical education evolves, so must the environments in which students learn,” said Kaite Jefferson, interim director of the Savitt Medical w88 slot. “The Lab@Savitt is part of a broader commitment to providing students and faculty with innovative resources that support applied learning and creative problem-solving.”

The 3D printers — one filament-based for durable applications and one resin-based for high-detail models — allow users to bring complex designs to life, from anatomical structures to research prototypes. A dedicated 3D modeling workstation gives students full control over the design and printing process.

Together with the 3D printing suite, the addition of Meta Quest AR/VR headsets further expands opportunities for interactive, experiential learning. These headsets offer immersive clinical simulations and anatomical exploration, allowing users to interact with high-resolution models, practice procedures and engage with dynamic, hands-on content in a fully virtual environment.

As much as innovation shapes the future of learning, so does the environment in which that learning takes place.

So, in response to student feedback, the Savitt w88 slot has also introduced sound-insulated individual study pods — private, quiet spaces for focused work. Each pod is equipped with power outlets, customizable lighting and airflow controls, offering students, faculty and staff a retreat from the busy academic environment.

“These study pods reflect our ongoing effort to respond to the needs of our learners,” Jefferson said. “We heard clearly from students that quiet space is essential, and we were determined to provide it in a thoughtful, student-centered way.”
